    Andy Griffith, a television legend who starred in two iconic series that debuted a quarter-century apart, has died, a friend says. He was 86.

    i liked his show, i still watch it alot. i liked his guitar pickin and singin.

    but he was a flaming liberal. so, at least I have him on dvd, who needs the real thing?

    So sad, regardless of his politics, he was a great actor- my mom and I watch a lot of Matlock re-runs on the Hallmark Movie Channel, but we still can't find re-runs of the Andy Griffith show. You will be missed Andy.
