I'm pretty sure that propane is fine, and I know charcoal is banned in national Forrest, but that should not affect your back yard BBQ.

Smoking Pork spare ribs, they are on sale at target for $1.97 a pound.

Same here I'm putting mine in in the morning, IMHO you can't beat slow smoked ribs.
