Not gonna speculate on this. But I'd bet there are other female candidates ahead of Bachmann on Romney's "female VP" short list.

Condi Rice or Susan Martinez would be a couple of my guesses. But I'd also think after the McCain/Palin fiasco he'd be a little gunshy on picking a woman.

I'd like to see him pick Condoleezza Rice, but doubt she's interested. I think that would do his ticket some good, and I like her.

IMO he is more valuable in congress and would be a waste of talent as a VP

+1. He is making a difference in Congress and getting valuable knowledge and experience as a politician. The VP position doesn't do much, although the rest of America just sees the names on the ticket. I don't want to see West as a running mate, I want to see him as the President.

The fiasco part of McCain/Palin wasn't the woman.

And no, I seriously doubt that Romney is considering Bachmann (who would likely tell him to stuff it if he asked her anyway) ... some serious acrimony there.

I saw a documentary on Netflix not too long ago and it showed how the media was so ruthless in going after Palin. 90% of all the bad things said about her were false and skewed to make her look bad. She's actually really quite smart and did a lot to fix Alaska (which was more messed up that I knew before she got elected). She seriously could have the potential to make a great 1st woman POTUS one day, but thanks to the damn liberal media her image is pretty well tarnished... "I can see Russia from my house."

In that, what she really said was "Russia is our neighbor, there are some points in Alaska that the distance is only a few miles and you can actually see Russia from some parts of Alaska."
