The "I'll take it" or what ever the buyer or seller commits to should be honored or the guy breaking his/her word is not worth a shit! Some TIMELY communications can alleviate some really bad impressions if a deal can't be completed as agreed to. IMHO

If you didn't have a meeting time established, you're just being a cry baby.

Agreed. I've gotten ahead of myself and given an "I'll take it" regarding a buy or trade before asking all the questions I should've asked (possibly after a beer or five), only to be disappointed when I see what I've agreed to. But that's not the seller's fault, it was on me, and I fulfilled the transaction as agreed without so much as a grumble. There's not too many things that are worth less than a man without honor.

Guess I need to post a few -1's myself. Even long time members have welched lately. Im tired of people backing out of deals.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

BS. I'll take it is SOLD. Waiting almost 24 hours to "Change my mind" Is lightweight and shows the buyer has no spine.
Perhaps JTR may have gone overboard by bringing it to GD, still does not excuse buyer from their actions.

There is way too much emphasis on agreeing to buy something before it has been seen in person. Are you without honor if you show up and the guy is trying to sell you some garbage? Every "I'll take it!" should include "pending inspection," right behind it.

I agree with the OPP. If he said he would take it after talking with him then he should step up and finish the deal. Once you say "i will take it" that enters you both into an agreement.

Absolutely, seeing how there seems to be a lack of pictures included in an ad.
If the item is not as described, i'll snap a pic or two to cover my ass from any pending fall out.

This as well. If its a glock i say "i will take it", anything else needs an inspection.

Agreed. But when I simply gave an unconditional "I'll take it" without any caveat about inspection, it's a promise to buy it, and I'm not gonna renege, even if I should have made it conditional. Now, if an item was misrepresented, that's a different story.
