My 56 y/o self is out to dinner with the 57 y/o girlfriend Saturday nite. The tables in this restaraunt are close together and a younger (mid to late 20's) couple sits in the table next to us. The female of this couple is Hot. As we finish our dinners we are chatting and I jokingly say to the couple that my GF and I want invitations to the wedding (they have been dating for a couple of months), we all joke about that for a bit and I say to the guythat he needs to register somewhere fun like Bass Pro Shop and not Nordstroms. Well the female cutie pops up with, "no Cabelas I need a new .45". Jeeze a total fox and a she likes to shoot, ah to be young again... My GF did not appreciate the situation.

Along a similar note, my wife and I stopped by Bass Pro on Saturday and I got her looking at the handguns (she already has a Ruger P345 [.45ACP] and a Springfield XD9 [never shot]). She wants to get a good concealed carry handgun and had previously shown interest in the Kahr CW9. When I mentioned this to her she told me that she doesn't want a 9mm, she wants a .45.

Did I marry a good one, or what?

Heh, I got in trouble the other day when I threw away the Cabelas firearms catalog when I was done with it. I had to pull it out of the trash so my wife could point out to me that it was addressed to her not me, and she hadn't finished making her wish list yet.

My wife doesn't seem to have a sense of humor about these situations either! Although she is awesome. Met her in the Military, (MP) and now she's the po-po. She chooses to carry a .45 at work.
