Right now the metro lakes are kind of slow from the shore. However a good lake right now for a uncle / nephew trip is Georgetown. Salmon eggs or pink/ red power bait will get them. I like to use a fly and bubble in the evenings never get skunked. DOW also stocked this lake just last week.
If you wan't a sure thing to get him "Hooked" go to Schafers crossing up 285 pay lakes. You can't go wrong!! Close, not to much $$ and the kids have a great time!!![]()
YOU ARE COMPLACENT !! DO YOU VOTE ? MAKE CALLS ? OR DO YOU JUST HIDE AND TAKE IT ? THEN YOU WANT TO BE A PATHETIC COMPLAINER AFTER THE FACT! HIDE IN THE SHADOWS TURN AWAY AND SOON THE GIFT WILL BE ....TYRANNY!!!
For you guys that are recently fishing and catching fish, would you mind posting in my learn to fish thread and just posting up what you caught and what you used to catch it?

I might try georgetown.
I'm hiking in to James Peak lake tomorrow for the next 4 days. We go every July. Rules are "No chicks, no kids". This is a big boys trip. Oh yeah!
Trying to get feedback on Standley lake. Seems like boating is the best option.
