    Any good ponds/lakes you guys been doing good this season fishing in? I want to take my nephew. just catch and release

    Right now the metro lakes are kind of slow from the shore. However a good lake right now for a uncle / nephew trip is Georgetown. Salmon eggs or pink/ red power bait will get them. I like to use a fly and bubble in the evenings never get skunked. DOW also stocked this lake just last week.

    If you wan't a sure thing to get him "Hooked" go to Schafers crossing up 285 pay lakes. You can't go wrong!! Close, not to much $$ and the kids have a great time!!

    Or for free down the road Pine Junction, always has fish.

    I'm hiking in to James Peak lake tomorrow for the next 4 days. We go every July. Rules are "No chicks, no kids". This is a big boys trip. Oh yeah!

    Trying to get feedback on Standley lake. Seems like boating is the best option.
