I stand corrected the law in my opinion says "handgun" course and that means Hunters safety does not apply. Hunters safety is not a handgun course and until somebody challenges it so be it.

It is true that some departments are accepting it such as El Paso as Will stated. El Paso will take a hunters safety Jeffco will not so best check the county you live in before you get training to make sure it's accepted.
