True that...but some of the hoods you have worked in would certainly need more than two officers. You should have had four man cars.We had some beat cars that could only be put in service with two officers. Because you always needed backup and no one else in the neighborhood had your back.

it can be something incredibly simple, cop runs a plate, dispatcher types in a wrong character, vehicle comes back as something other than what the officer is looking at...
Could be tons of things.
Can you imagine spending an entire shift in a car with three other officers? One of the best perks of getting stripes was never having to sit in the car all day with some pos who wants to talk about things in which you have no interest.

Wait, it's not like the movies where you guys are best friends and you hang all the time together and get in awesome adventures?
I don't think in my history of driving any of my limited minor traffic infractions I have ever had two LEOs on scene. Only time i have had more than one LEO on scene was an accident and one time where I was rearended by a LEO (he couldn't do any thing so another had to come fill out the report)
Actually I got stopped once by two LEOs in the parking lot at my work, but it wasnt for anything other than asking who built/worked on my Jeep and turned into an hour of shooting the shit with them.

My feedback
Adam 12 is on Netflix and I watch it once in a while with my daughter. It seemed so much more reasonable when I was a kid in the early 70's. Now it is just funny. The salty veteran helping the young, fresh, clean, rookie learn the ropes.
I don't miss pushing a scout car. Dispatchers and supervisors just want you to get on scene, fix the problem that the judicial system and all of social services can't fix. Then you need to clear and move to the next call. 8 to 12 hours of running calls for people, some of whom haven't been within a mile of soap and water or know what a toothbush looks like. Some days you would just be happy to get a 10 minute PR in a filthy 7-11 bathroom. I remember once being told I had my lunch break and couldn't convince my supervisor that the 20 minutes I spent at the station washing body fluids out of the back of the car did not really qualify as lunch.
So, how many police cars are needed to conduct a traffic stop? Less than the number of politicians it takes to make stupid laws

You might be able to get a little insight into a cops world by watching the documentary Super Trooper. Very enlightening.
