Ok, so, I had a problem in a thread that I started in which an Olympic Arms rep responded to... Anyway, this was my problem for the last couple days, now however, it is done. Anyone care to chime in on it?

Yea I read it already and chimed in with my .2, Tom didn't care enough to read through it before he thought he could chime in. In any case I stand by what I said and will not be buying any OA crap.
From an outside view, it is clear the two of you were talking about a tottally different process. It is unfortunate that he was so defensive about it. I am sure the process "oly" and other companies use is safe and does not effect quality or they would have discontinued it by now. Again its to bad you both could not have been on the same page. Normally when manufacturers get involved on gun forums they are a little more proffesional.

I've seen this before, there was a huge negative exchange on GT from another manufacturer (rep and president). It seems that some companies want to work so hard to protect their image that they go to the extreme and shoot themselves in the foot (pun intended).
The use of the word "you" in the original exchange precludes your answer from applying to any other manufacturer and their process! I stand by what has generally been expressed here: the gentlemen from OA needs to take it down a bit... You never represented yourself as an official representative of that company, etc. etc.
Ya know, I wonder if that gentlemen ever discusses the difference between coffees, or paint or many other varied products which have many varied patented production processes? I'll bet the makers of those products don't slam him, like he slammed you, when they overhear his comments? Sheeeesh...

I have also seen this before, but it was between two different manufactures. Very odd situation/s in both instances, not sure why he is so defensive.
