My wife and I watched a reality show called "Sister Wives" yesterday about a mormon family living in las vegas. They had been outcast from the LDS church since they were a polygamist family. Overall they seemed pretty happy although the father plays the part of the "charismatic cult head" pretty well. Must be why all those "beauties" flock to him. Not sure about the welfare situation, but I didn't see any of them talking about working and they were buying a monster house to live in. The three unlawful wives are likely on the dole.

A strange way to live, but I could care less if others choose to live that way. Making polygamy legal should at least (in theory) make it harder for them to get on public assistance based on household income.

What ever you choose to do as an adult is solely your desision. Want 2 wives or 2 husbands go ahead. As long as I the taxpayer is not supporting you enjoy.

With all the aggrevation one woman can cause in my life, why in the world would one compound it?
Agreed on the entire "government out of marriage" scenario. Aside from exceptional cases like marrying a 10 year old its nobodies business.

Polygamy is defined as having too many wives...some would say the same about monogamy.

Agreed, government should not be in the business of legislating morality.

Let's have more married women. Call me an asshole, but when I was younger I used to date all kinds of married women. For me it was cool. When they got mouthy or controlling I could just send them back to their husbands. "don't need your shit, bitch, go home"..... LOL LOL
