Funny thing, both of these optics were my dream optics. I wanted one of these for my setup, but figured I would never be able to afford either them. I got an ACOG with a Doc red dot for a song. I liked the ACOG more because it doesn't use batteries. It just so happens that is what I wound up with. Leupold makes great optics in my opinion tho, and I think I would have been happy with it as well. The ACOG has proven itself to be a really tough scope. That begs he question tho. Do you need the durability at that level? I can't attest to the Leupolds durability other than the scopes I have used on my hunting rifles. I think the Leupold would be plenty strong for us civilian folk. In combat I'd lean toward the ACOG. Real world tacticool, I'd find the one with the features you like most. Sorry this is not a direct answer, just my $.02.

Go with an acog. Spot on, clear, almost bomb proof. Don't know too much except for looking at the leups in the stores.
