"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"
My feedback
Not sure if this was posted before and I haven't heard anyone speculate about it.
Anyone else think Holmes deliberately rigged his apartment as a diversion? He had the music start blaring at midnight, right when the movie was starting. If someone opened his door (neighbor, cops, etc.) shortly after midnight, the place would have blown and emergency services would have been focused on that before he started his rampage. He would have been able to go on and on before they showed up.
Maybe the cops caught him outside the theater because he went out for more ammo, but luckily, his place wasn't in flames and they were available immediately.
100% speculation of course, but why else would he rig his apartment with explosives and have the music come on at midnight? Of course he's deranged, so who the hell knows.
There is so much simply wrong information in there that I can't take any of the "theories" seriously.
You don't need special access to government supply depots to get body armor or gas masks. You need a surplus store.
You don't need to be highly trained to make explosive and incendiary devices. You need a basic understanding of chemistry and a hardware store.
You don't need to be highly funded to get the weapons and ammunition used. You need a credit card you aren't worrying about paying off.
You don't need a government conspiracy to murder people in a movie theater. You need one psychopath with a willingness to kill the innocent and a plan.
Homeboy needs to loosen his tinfoil. I'm disappointed to see something like that posted here. Next, are we going to start talking about how 9/11 was an inside job planned by Bush?

Who are they joking? They have much stricter gun control laws in place and we know how safe it is there.Jul 21, 2012 - 21:40
Mexico urges U.S. to review gun laws after Colorado shooting
MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Mexican President Felipe Calderon condemned U.S. gun laws as "mistaken" and urged Washington to review them after a shooter killed 12 people and injured more than 50 others at a U.S. movie theatre on Friday.
In comments posted on his Twitter account on Saturday, Calderon offered his condolences to the United States after a gunman went on the rampage with an assault rifle at a midnight premier of the new Batman film in Aurora, Colorado.
But Mexico's president, who has repeatedly called on Washington to tighten gun controls to stop weapons flowing from the United States into the hands of Mexican drug cartels, said U.S. weapons policy needed a rethink after the killings.
"Because of the Aurora, Colorado tragedy, the American Congress must review its mistaken legislation on guns. It's doing damage to us all," Calderon said.
The presidency of Calderon, who leaves office at the end of November, has been overshadowed by his efforts to crack down on the drug gangs. Fighting among the cartels and their clashes with the state have killed more than 55,000 people since 2007.
In February, Calderon appealed to the United States to halt the flow of arms by unveiling a massive sign on the Mexican-U.S. border reading "No More Weapons!" The letters on the billboard in the city of Ciudad Juarez were made of recycled guns seized by security forces.
Calderon has also urged Washington to revive a ban on assault weapons in the United States that expired in 2004.
