Just crazy. Sick people. I had a little issue this morning (phone died last night and so my alarm didn't go off) over slept and once my phone had enough charge it went nuts. Apparently the gal I work with got a phone call from my mom who hadn't heard from my brother (who lives at her house) looking for us and wondering what we knew. The gal told my mom that we had gone to see Batman last night (which we did not) and my mom freaked. But why would we go from Lakewood/Evergreen all the way to Aurora? Still she called hospitals inquiring about us. Very scary. I feel terrible that she had to have that moment of panic.
Thoughts and prayers with the families and victims, and my prayers for this psychopath, may God have mercy on his soul, because Lady Justice surely should not show him one ounce of mercy. I also pray for some clarity for those who falsely believe that banning law-abiding folks from owning/purchasing firearms will help anything as it will only make it so the wolves (criminals) are the only ones with guns and the rest of the sheep have no sheep dogs (gun owners) to protect them.

Just wanted to clarify something. A D.I.A.S. is not simply "purchased from an M16 parts kit". It's an apparatus made to use in a receiver that does not have the third hole for the sear that makes full auto possible.
Just wanted to make that connection in case someone is reading this and thinks you can simply order a part that is commonly available that will drop into a semi-auto AR15 to make it fully automatic. D.I.A.S. are heavily regulated as a machine gun by the ATF. To make a m16 auto sear work in an ar15 you would need to modify the receiver to accept the auto sear or machine a D.I.A.S.

It's not a registry because there are no names associated with the serial numbers. FFL's have to track serials and submit them to the feds.
If they didn't have the serial numbers of his guns they wouldn't have been able to track them.
Kyle Clark on 9News has been doing a great job emphasizing and correcting false reports that the shooter used automatic weapons, and making sure everyone knows he used semi-autos. He is really working hard on-air to clarify the difference between the two and how semi autos are perfectly legal to own and are used by safe and responsible shooters across the country.
If you aren't watching that channel you should, just to support their desire to accurately report on firearms. He also keeps mentioning that they have been talking with numerous experts on firearms to learn more facts about the weapons used and not false facts reported by people who are unfamiliar with firearms.
The anti gunners are all over FB, Twitters etc. I didnt realize I have wasted 3 hours arguing few folks out there.

I have been involved in numerous debates with emotionally fuelled anti's, DO NOT make statements. The only way to argue with those people is to question their behavior.
EX:
Why are you letting your emotions get in the way of your ability to reason?
How is calling me names accomplishing your goals?
What are you trying to accomplish by insulting fellow human beings?
Why are you incapable of separating racism and firearms in your head?
Effective questioning is the only way to debate with these people.

If they really think about it calling a gun a murderer without knowing shit about it or even know that a gun is a hulk of metal. Is kinda racist. They just run across the street when they see one assume the worst about it because of what it is not because of its use. I guess they have become what they feel and care about the most.

Read through all 33 pages, before posting this. He made a thread on 4chan two days ago saying he was going to shoot up a movie theater, and that he planned to escape. When I saw the thread I got an uneasy feeling, but knowing that this happened makes me feel so unwell.
