In the press conference they said it was 1 to 1 and a half minutes from when dispatch called officers. Time from shooting starting is unknown.
Figure at least a minute for someone to figure out what is going on, calling 911, and the operator dispatching officers. Probably a few minutes since they said people thought it was a stunt related to the movie when he first came in.
60-90 is very impressive considering how garbled the initial reports probably were. The responding officers probably had no info at all just that someone had a gun and people were panicking. Well done to the Aurora dispatchers as well to get the necessary info and get officers rolling. If only the POS had decided to point his rifle at Aurora PD and gotten lit up. Then the residents of CO wouldn't be burdened with paying for his coward ass to sit in prison for the rest of his life.
I am usually not one to give cudo's to L.E. but i must say my hat is off to Aurora. They seem to have there shit together, and well organized. Listening to the police broadcast this morning while it was unfolding was really professional. No unnecessary radio chatter, no chaotic talk, very organized.
Let's hope they keep it up!
