I heard a "journalist" on the radio say that "there's a commonality among the people who commit these mass gun-killings, and that is that they are all gun owners". She went on to infer that all gun owners are a suspect group, and every one of us is just a paranoid moment away from another massacre. That's like saying that since all car crashes are caused by car-owners, then every driver is a lurking threat who is a danger to society. Ridiculous, but I'm afraid some people are buying it. I'm saddened by the senseless loss of life, and pray for the survivors and family. I'm also offended by the insinuation that I could be a potential mass murderer, just because I enjoy my 2nd Amendment rights. This is a sad, sad day. I'm all for the Fundraiser idea, and will help any way I can.

Using round numbers (10 "active shooters" & roughly 55 million firearms owners in the US), 0.0000182% of firearms owners have committed this type of act. I certainly don't want to diminish the impact that this has on us as communities, families, and individuals but the general public needs to understand that we should be focusing on the mind behind the tool and not the tool itself.

Thanks for sharing that... wow, that is a very very minute number.
I wish the anti's would stop with this illogical stupidity, guns don't kill people, people kill people.

I really wish the Aurora PD Chief would stop saying "clips," he said magazines earlier... nit picking I know. I feel so bad for the cops that arrived on scene first and drove people to the hospital in their cars, that is something I hope no one ever has to witness and experience. +1 to the brave folks with the LE, FD, and EMS that responded to this tragic event, and my prayers are also with them in hopes that they never have to go through something like this ever again, and they get the help needed to cope and know that from my experiences in combat in Afghanistan, this is something that stays with you forever and those images will never leave your mind and haunt you. I pray for everyone who had to go through this horrific experience.

It would actually be some form of responsible journalism if they waited for the facts. The main stream news is little more than entertainment.

I've heard about it all day when at work. Sad and tragic event, my thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this.

I hope the guy that committed this gets the death penalty and burns in hell for what he did.

Would be nice if just for one day politicians, reporters, and everyone else didnt throw blame at gun owners or try to turn it political.

Well put with that 3rd part. Gov. Hickenlooper (I'll refrain from jokes on his name) said that he will be prosecuted at a state level and could face the death penalty... we can only hope. I pray that he smells the sweet smell of the fear of death as that paralyzing agent is coursing through his veins, and he burns in hell afterward for eternity.

Been watching 9 news and they must have said 6000 rounds of ammunition, purchased legally at least 20 times in the last 10 minutes. Would 200 have made any difference?
