As an avowed environmentalist, I hate to see the Earth's precious resources wasted. When the judicial action is completed in this case, it would be nice to be able to recycle some the said 6000 rounds of ammunition. I know right where I would dispose of all those horrible jacketed and toxic lead bullets. The brass cases would be lovingly restored to a useful purpose and the cycle of use would continue.

WOW, the woman on 9 news just said that people are desensitized to violence because they see so much of it and that they as the media are responsible for a lot of it. She may not have a job next week.

I would love for Holmes to face a firing squad.

I saw that as well I don't think she'll be employed for too much longer either

It's still an option in Utah. It should be here too. a $.50 round is much cheaper than the other options.

I think a firing squad is far too kind. I think he deserves to face the worst punishment that any of his victim’s families can come up with. In a case like this nothing should be considered cruel and unusual punishment.

a Jibbet on the courthouse lawn and an old rope would do just fine.

Based on national averages, 274 people died today due to alcohol, about 100 of them killed by a drunk person, more than three times that number were sexually assaulted.

No bottle of booze nor sexual organ ever prevented a murder...but firearms help prevent death every day...think about it.

I agree with your post and I think the same punishment I mentioned should stand for most severe crimes.... not an eye for an eye but the family making the decision on the punishment. If they want to let the drunk who killed their daughter go free then so be it (ok that would suck but I still think it's better than our current system).

On the lighter side, but still related to your post....
