What do you think is going to get him re-elected? I'm waiting for the O's new election theme. The timing is too perfect for him so now he can come out and make all libs squeal for joy publicly so he no longer has to go "Under the radar" for AWB's.

Guys, meds or not, ridge and rjlou, you're harshing my mellow.
Really, anything O signed loosening laws were due to riders attached. Neither GOP or DEM is innocent regarding 2A infringement. Whether we maintain and or increase numbers in the house & senate, the prez still has pick of the litter when it comes to naming the next SCJ.

I believe fast and furious was a program Obama saw as a way to enact gun control if it was seen that "illegal" guns were being used by drug traffickers and cartels to create chaos on the southern border.
If that is true, those documents would be classified Top Secret, which means they could neither be subject to subpoena or FOIA and would not be declassified for at least 20 years . . . under the guise of "national security." By then all the involved parties would be retired from public service, if not deceased.

I am pretty sure...no...I am positive Obama said he would be the most open president this country has ever seen.

yep...even says it right on the white house website:

President Obama is committed to creating the most open and accessible administration in American history. That begins with taking comments and questions from you, the public, through our website.

Ultimately the allowing of carry in national parks was added to the credit card reform package which Obama pushed for. He was forced into allowing concealed carry in national parks or else he would have had to veto his credit card reform act.

As to Amtrack, Senator Roger Wicker (R) of Miss attached the amendment to allow weapons as checked baggage as part of a $1.5 billion transportation funding bill. The amendment passed the senate 68-30
Obama had nothing to do with this.

Obviously you don't know how a presidential veto works. It doesn't matter if it passed 68-30 the first time. He still could have sent it back, if it was the voted for again by a 2/3 majority then it would become law regardless of his approval/signature... he signed both bills the first time.

Man I have been arguing the last 2 days on fb and with people I know about our 2nd A rights because they don't think we need to own an Assault Rifle as they say. I think whomever becomes President will listen to the louder side so we just need to make sure we are louder than the anti gun.

I was subjected to the endless droning of the media for my 8 hour drive home yesterday.

I had to change the channel quite frequently, as it was making me physically Ill with all of the posturing and ridiculous questions.

How did he come to own so many guns?
can someone own that many guns legally?
    is an AR-15 legal?
    "he had an assault weapon"
He purchased the guns legally in a store, but bought thousands of rounds of ammunition online so he wouldn't raise any red flags.
High capacity CLIPS... over and over and over again.
Reporters insisting on discussing motive, after the chief (captain high capacity clip) made it clear that was off limits for discussion.

Like I said, I actually flipped to the hits channel to listen to carly rae jeppesn tell me to call her maybe over and over, just so I didn't have to stomach the inaccuracies and the obvious gun control overtures.

You should check out 106.7. Willie B is pro-gun and was discussing the implications of this on our freedoms. It is definitely a more right leaning, rational station. It is also modern rock and metal station, if you don't mind.
