You don't need to be highly trained to make explosive and incendiary devices. You need a basic understanding of chemistry and a hardware store.

You don't need to be highly funded to get the weapons and ammunition used. You need a credit card you aren't worrying about paying off.

You don't need a government conspiracy to murder people in a movie theater. You need one psychopath with a willingness to kill the innocent and a plan.

Shoot, no dont put on your tinfoil hats yet, that natural news article falls in line with an Onion article.

........but it makes you think a little, it hasn't even been 72 hours since the incident, investigators are stilling working it, now they have a 2nd interest that has disappeared. News media are on overdrive spewing out their garble-de-gook. Once you screen out the political agendas and sensationalism what you have left doesn't all match and the only person so far that can answer that is in custody and we are told not much being said. SO sometimes the situation isn't always so cut and dry as we hear it.

Another member from this forum on Friday made a good statement as we were discussing this. This is the first "large" massacre where the perpetrator did not off himself or was shot by LEOs. Should be an interest next couple months. Unfortunately no matter what the outcome all this will lead to, the fact is those who lost their life or their loved ones will never have it back

We don't know if it matches. We don't know why he did it, why he stopped, or why he told the cops about the IEDs in his apartment. But here's the thing. We don't really need to know at this point.

Maybe there are other things playing out. There are almost certainly undisclosed elements. This whole "the people have a right to know" attitude that permeates everything these days needs to stop. Sometimes making too much information public is counter-productive and even dangerous.

Also, it's not the first large scale shooting where the shooter was taken alive. Look at Brevik in Oslo.

This man now has the attention of the entire country in order to make his point.

Yap, you made a point I was thinking as well.

Society has much to blame for the Media's insatiable appetite for spewing what they do.

Look at what is the most popular things to watch on TV? Reality tv, people love to watch others misery......sad really.

I'm really surprised about what Hickenlooper just said on TV.

Hickenlooper told ABC's George Stephanopoulos on "This Week" that Holmes was diabolical and he would have found a way to create this horror even if he did not have access to guns. Hickenlooper says Holmes would have used explosives, poisonous gas or some other method to create the terror.

Why does the media insist on using the middle name as well? Are they trying to keep the tradition of the three named killer?

Yep. 3 names are more evil than two. Perhaps they should ban having 3 names?

The media is absolutely out of control as usual when it comes to news like this.
"Person of Interest" Aurora police chief just said that any person who had a lot of contact with perp will probably be contacted to get a more in depth profile of him and see what his conduct had been lately.
