I know the thread is over 3 years old. I just put it up so we could see how we stack up with the other states.
After that shooting at the movie theater last night I just can't believe that there wasn't one person carring that could maybe have slowed this ass hat down a little.

I have to believe Colorado is well north of 21,000 ccw permit holders now. It seems to have exploded since 2009. I don't know the stats, or where to get them, but it's definitely trending upward nationwide with CO as no exception.

It makes no sense to me why some businesses think those kinds of policies make their establishment safer.... criminals don't care about laws much less their private policies. I've stopped going to the theaters altogether due to their ever increasing prices...except for the occasional gifted movie ticket. I just assume rent it from redbox or netflix for a buck or two, and if I love it, buy it on DVD/BlueRay for the price of a ticket or two, max.

    1) It's too close to Denver to risk carrying
    2) Cinemark has corporate anti-gun policies (one reason I prefer to go to Hollywood Theaters)

There is close to that amount in El Paso Co. alone...
    remember this story?
    http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18563_16...n-colo-county/

All live in El Paso County, Colo., home to the most concealed carry permits in the state, 20,000 active licenses in a population of 627,000.

I guess I would be the dumb ass going to jail after this theater thing, because 70 people wouldn't have been shot. Sad thing is they are already talking about metal detectors at the movie now.
