You won't go wrong with either. I just picked up a Stag upper (thanks to a nagging voice in my head reminding me that Gman loved his) and slapped it on my Bushmaster lower.. loe and behold if it didn't fit better than the Bushy upper than use to be on there.

Either way you look at it, unless you're set on buying local, get ahold of Pete at www.ar15sales.com he's where I got my Stag upper (about 9 days direct shipped from the factory). Pete will take care of you... and if he can get it your only other choice is to call the factory and beg

Do keep in mind that I have 3 RRA AR's and only this new un-fired STAG upper. The RRA's have been great (other than a small trigger issue that was resolved with disassembly and removal of a foreign object) and I'll buy as many of those as I can afford. The RRA's from Pete were just a lot longer wait than the STAG was and I wanted to see how the STAG worked out. So far so good on the STAG! So either way, you'll be happy.

Do note that RRA buffer tubes tend to be non-mil spec. Just something to keep in mind if you're getting the whole rifle and swapping out stocks.

I have a RRA Car A4 S.S. with mid-length handguards on order, it is going to be the end of April before it comes in. but I was getting impatient like a kid at Christmas. I found a guy that I thought had Stag 2H uppers but didn't and doesn't know when he'll get any more. e-mailed Pete and he said the Stag uppers would be about 10 days from order to delivery. called him this morning and he had a RRA entry tactical in stock, so I just had to order it. (seem funny the one guy don't know when he'll get any and Pete can have you one in 10 days) [postal]

That's because Pete know's his stuff and he's been a dealer for RRA and STAG for a long long time. He's got relationships with both vendors and I've not heard of anyone who's had issue with him at all. Sweet snag on the RRA..

I was bugging Pete for a few weeks about one and he said RRA was telling him 8-12 weeks-ish. So I now have a STAG.. and am still happy.
