Please weirdos stay home, dont go and see Batman. This guy sounds like he wanted to get caught.

Regardless I am going to wait for the DVD, not going anywhere near the theaters!

What a collection he had! Like that FAL sitting on the table. Glad they caught him before he killed anyone.

WHY would you take the time and spend the money to build such a nice collection of excellent weapons only to be monumentally stupid and lose it all? If that guy doesnt have mental problems they should issue him some.

Driving 112 and volunteering plans to murder? He'd really fallen off the edge. It sounds like there was a kernel of light left in that he was doing things to get caught. I'm so glad it ended without bloodshed.

I think the intensity of the media coverage has attractions to these borderline cases. How else can a loser become famous? I'd guess these people lack any kind of moral center.

I turned off TV coverage of these horrors after Columbine. It goes on day after day but there aren't many facts so it just gets unhinged. About day 3 or so I noticed it had become a how-to. Like they were giving lessons for the next whacko.

I'd love to see some sort of limit on the coverage. After all the facts are gathering some imposing type could go on the air, an Old Testament Walter Cronkite and say, "James Eagan Holmes - cursed be his name! May it never be uttered again. May all pictures of him be destroyed and may he be forgotten for all time."

I doubt if the media would voluntarily do this but boycotts could motivate them. That would cut down on copycats.

Steve, you make a GREAT point. Thank God the Olympics start this week, otherwise this would be dominating the news. All day Sat they were talking about this on the news... it's the big item of the month and we need something else to talk about. I was happy to turn on the news yesterday and see a piece about Missy Franklyn and some of the other US Olympians in London... finally the shooting is not the only damn thing they're talking about, and I only watch the news when I'm in Evergreen at my mom's house (probably once or twice a week).

I'm getting sick of the other stories getting squeezed in around this. What can you really say that hasn't been said 1,000 times already since Friday?
