I read one article that actually called the gun an "assault-style" rifle. I was impressed enough that they didn't say machine gun or assault weapon. The article itself wasn't super protective of guns but it didn't attack them either. I can't remember which article it was now.

I went and saw Dark Night Rises that same Friday night. I'm not letting any of these idiots scare me from living my life.

This guy... what an idiot. Glad he was caught, not happy about the sensationalism of this issue.
Whenever my wife asks me why I never wear pants around the house I simply remind her:

"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on.” - Winston Churchill

    The truth wears NO pants!

I know of 20-30 cases where Mr clueless has said a Fal is a Machine gun because the selector moves to the FA position and I am sure that this is the case.
Great point on the FAL, I have seen selector switches do that on HK 91S too. Of course they don't shoot full auto.

Also the drama shot of the weapons laid out is designed to be shocking too.

Sounds like the dip shit who wrote this is trying to sensationalize something. Really? The guy went to the movie "Batman" the night before? There must be a connection so let's print it.......

Another article indicated that he last worked for the targeted employer in 2000. The suspect left on his own accord and in good standing. There was a small beef about some commission, however the employer did not hear from this guy in the last 12 years.

Either way the media vultures are loving these terrible times
