Allstate blew Progressive out of the water for me, But then again I'm a little older as well. I also have my homeowners and truck insurance through them so that helps a bit.

I'm paying $180 a year with a $100 deductible on full coverage for a KTM Superduke.

Dang. I guess $300 a year for full coverage on two bikes that are both over 1000cc isn't too bad then.

(Alright, so I'm over forty and both of the bikes are Harleys. )

I will be putting a good size downpayment on it.

Your age, family status and the type of bike are the reason you will pay dearly for insurance.
Haven't bought it yet. I always check on insurance before I purchase a vehicle.

Man...I feel fortunate. I'm with Geico and I pay $229/year for my 2011 Harley and $57/year for my 2001 BMW 650GS...with really low deductibles.

I have a Harley wideglide. The gecko charges me about $255/yr.

    PS - I'm under 30...

EDIT: I'm dumb, I posted the wrong rate, fixed above. That's for full coverage, $250 deductible...

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

What motorcycle experience do you have? People who jump right to 1000cc sport bikes often do themselves a big disservice. There is much more learning that can be done in a shorter amount of time on a 600, or even the likes of an sv650. And a lot cheaper insurance too.
