I hope with all the posting on gun boards by everyone, some of us took time away from the board to let those not in to guns know how we feel.
You would be surprised how many people have the " Why contact them, it's not going to do anything" mentality.

Vote with the lever, vote with your wallets, before we end up voting from the roof tops.
Sorry to hear it man let me know if you need a hand or anything though I don't know much about those high-dollar re-loaders.

+1 be a squeaky wheel, an evangelist or a downright nuisance but take a stand.

By the way couldn't get those glue bullets to work out using a cut down case, ordered a couple bullet molds that should be here in a few days.

    My Name is Jim XXXXX
While i as others across the country mourn the senseless killings at an Aurora Colorado movie theater, already cries of more gun control have been heard.
Perhaps some of the people who want stricter regulations actually believe any kind of law will prevent a repeat of the Aurora massacre.
I believe as others in our country the laws we have do enough already. Mr. Holmes (for lack of a better title) the shooter, Not alleged, but shooter committed numerous acts of violence against so many innocent people. He did so by planning his rampage months in advance. PREMEDITATED in his actions, he went forward that night intent on killing (MURDER) as many people as possible.
Murder is oddly enough already a crime yet cries of Gun Control fill the air.
Perhaps if we enacted stronger laws against murder this would not have happened.. Of course we know my last statement is ludicrous. Murder is illegal and yet it happens every day.
Enact all the feel good laws you want, until there are strong repercussions for laws on the books now, nothing will deter the next murderer from committing a crime.

    Sincerely,

Thank you and God job. Sending and calling similarly.

It's not Snide, just Condescending, in your eyes. It gets you talking and motivated, some do, some talk, and some do nothing, then complain.
This thread will probably run 3-4 pages full of members taking their frustrations out on me. Channel that energy and go after those who need to be made aware new gun laws are not the answer. Enforcement of laws on the books are. Crime is down, by FBI stats, Mass shootings make the news yet day in day out someone is murdered, sexually assaulted, etc. The public has become immune to crime unless it slaps them in the face.

    Jim,
while I have contacted my elected officials, I have come to realize the fact That it doesn't matter. The days of our elected officials representing the voice of the people that they represent are over (for now anyways). I can no longer count the ammount of letters I've written that I got a canned response of
Thank you for contacting our office.....while I respect your opinion, I feel that (enter opposite opinion) and will be voting that way...blah blah blah, feel free to contact my office, blah blah, please support me by sending a check, blah blah
Unfortunately there are now more people that rely on the .gov for a living that will continue to vote for free stuff, so these people continue to get elected

Polis doesn't represent me...he's a rank and file Dem. my letter to him means shit. I often think that while "their people" read letters they sit and laugh because we "wasted our and their time". And try to get a response from Bennet

while a letter campaign is nice and may make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, spending your efforts on getting them out is more helpful to our cause
