Default Is this guy serious?? lol

O NO, what would we do if the Police went on strike??

This guy can't be serious and actually living in the USA....

    http://piersmorgan.blogs.cnn.com/201...-go-on-strike/

"I don't understand why the police officers across this country don't stand up collectively and say we're going to go on strike," Bloomberg told the "Piers Morgan Tonight" host. "We're not going to protect you unless you, the public, through your legislature, do what's required to keep us safe."

I can't help it, sorry and no disrespect to LE but this guy is out of it!!

    Yes he's serious... he's a damn nutjob.
It's a stupid argument though. The Supreme Court has already ruled- repeatedly- that the police are under no obligation to protect us. And even if we doubled the number of policemen/women in the country, there still wouldn't be enough to protect everyone. And, there is probably nothing that would drive gun sales up even further than for the police to go on strike. So bring it, Bloomberg.

I don't know the Gun Laws in NYC, but it would be easy to say or propose such stupid sh*t when there are really strict Gun Laws in that state in place already.... just saying...

... bet that idea won't go to well here or in other gun friendly states around the nation...

Actually what he said is illegal.
An elected official cannot by law support or instigate a walkout/strike of public employees.

I swear, this liberal agenda/mentality is the work of certified idiots.

There's a real trickle-down effect of Bloomberg's mentality and constant banter. I've met a fair number of people from NY/CA/MA and those I've met share his beliefs as they've had it spewed at them constantly for years.

The media tends to portray gun owners as fringe individuals and when someone who shares the guns-are-evil viewpoint actually meets a living/breathing gun owner, they are often visibly taken aback.

Is Bloomberg serious? -I sadly think he is.

The sure fire way for us to all see that the emperor has no clothes is for the police to strike "until the people turn in their guns" ... Stay home boys, we'll take care of ourselves.

Like government in general we'll find that 90% of what they do either doesn't need to be done, or the slack will be taken up by the people.

He's not. He lives in New York City ... which is basically Europe without the quaint accents.

I consider his opinion on the subject the same as Calderon's.

"His City" has twice the murder rate of Denver so IMO he can STFU.
