Bought one of those Weber Smokey Mountains a few years back and have never looked back. I have family living a few blocks away and every once and a while when the wind blows right I'll get that call in the morning "Are you smoking ribs? If so, what time should we show up?" LOL.

Briskets just went on. Come on down tomorrow afternoon.I'm guessing everything should be done about the time I get back from the range tomorrow. Had my FA Uzi come in - have had it over 2 weeks and I haven't made it out to the range yet, but I'm going to fix that tomorrow. If you need a better excuse, I could sell you a few of those cases of AK ammo I have left. That way it's a "work" expense, right?
I'm jealous. I looked at buying a smoker a few years back, then looked into building one as I heard that was almost the better thing to do, then I realized it would be cheaper to buy one because I didn't have any woodworking tools and would have to buy those too. Now I just try and ignore my cravings for burnt pork ends that any good Kansas Citian should have.
I see one brand or another on craigslist a lot. I like the Weber as there is a good website and a lot of aftermarket parts, but I'm sure that's probably true of the other brands too.
Oh yea, I forgot about the bbq! How DID it turn out?
Hey night crew! just checking in after feeding BabyBadger!
