Awesome news! My Juror number doesn't have to show up on Monday. Was dreading having to do jury duty Monday to have to turn around and spend 13 hours at work Monday night.
I am about to board the redeye to nyc.

Funny how an international financial institution won't give us the password to their system, but will send us an unencrypted tape with all the security data and data files through FedEx.

Wow, can't believe anyone would do without encyption on any backup these days when dealing with sensitive data.
Have they not seen all the news stories of companies that have run into trouble from lost backups or drives.

Not saying the savvy operator couldn't, but most average computer hacks wouldn't know how to read or what to do with an LTO cartridge with security and DB2 EBCDIC formatted data from an AS/400 (now called "IBM i" running on Power Systems) on it.
Just trying to catch up 6 month old stale data for a replication project they've been dragging feet on.

Sounds similar to when my Fiancee and I went to volunteer at a local no-kill animal shelter. They required this huge background check including SSNs and all our personal info. When we asked how they were keeping our info secure, they said, uhh, the office is locked when we aren't here. We immediately said no and had to leave. They refused to let us volunteer without the background check so we just left.
