I can hear the low rumble from the fruit packing plant that is about a mile away. The insulation standards here are garbage... I feel like I'm living in an apartment - I can hear neighbors yelling, smell their cooking, traffic is super loud, etc.

Yeah, that's what I expected. We had R-33 in our attic in Colorado. The minimum standard here is R-19.

It regularly gets into the 30s at night here.

As far as what else isn't up to code, I'm really afraid to look... I sure hope the inspector doesn't get too nosy when we try to sell this place.
