It makes for a damn boring night when no one is posting anything.

Sorry, my job is demanding my attention more than it usually does at this hour of the night.

Also have a gun I haven't shot and a scope to zero... hopefully next week!

Been clouded out at work the past 3 nights, so I've been getting ahead in my two classes that I'm starting this semester (Mechanical Engineering). Already done the first 3 weeks of reading and homeworks, for both courses.

Looks like we'll be clouded/rained out again tomorrow night, so I'll get another week or two ahead.

Oh yea, every 15min, I'm checking the local firearm forum (in souther new mexico) in hopes that someone is interested in buying my Savage Mark II-F for $120. Been listed for over a week, 128 views and not a single person contact me about it. No lowballs either!

I think I'll probably bump it up tomorrow and include a free box of Winchester 555 ($19 value) with it. I'm planning on buying a Savage Mark II-FV after I sell the Mark II-F, and after waiting a week I'd rather just take a slight hit on the price than wait any longer to order the Mark II-FV. And here I thought it was EASY to sell a $120 .22lr rifle.

Wow... I'm surprised people aren't jumping all over the Mark-II! Good luck selling it.

What line of work are you in that you get clouded out?

Yea, thanks. I think its partly that the forum is kind of based in a town of 30k and there aren't that many people on the board. Hopefully including the brick of ammo tomorrow will sell it.

I'm an Telescope Operator, observing on a survey-driven 2.5m telescope. When skies are clear, we point the telescope at the sky, collect the data on our choice of pre-selected fields. Once we meet the minimum data quality threshold, we move onto the next field. Some nights we can observe as many as 9,000 objects (about the max we can do). Other nights, like tonight, nothing.

Awesome job! Any chance you're heading down to Okie-Tex or do you get enough observing in at work?
