    The .50 AE is a pussycat compared to the .500S&W Mag ... that said, I find the .454 Casull and its new big brother the .460S&W Mag to be much harder on the shooter.

    It's more about muzzle blast, really... Lol. But, having never shot anything over .357 mag. I'm open to suggestions.

    The only time I fired my brothers 454 my hand was bleeding after 5 rds. They were really hot loads and there is no sharp edges on the gun. I am supposed to be picking one up just like it.

    I am not and I love shooting big gun, but what ever he had for bullets were not fun. I happen to get the last five thankfully. He was shooting 45 LC out of it and did that to me for kicks.

    Interesting, I found just the opposite between the 500 and the 460, of course it depended greatly on the load and the barrel length. While the 460 was punishingly loud (although they are both ridiculously loud), the stock break of the 460, I think made it much better on the 8 3/8 models.

    Still sold off my 460 because I just didn't shoot it anymore.
