Planning to go to my first gun show

Planning to go to the Tanner gun show this coming August. How do you come about purchasing a gun from someone there? Do you just have to be 21 or do they run background check etc as well?

They do backgrounds. They have people there doing the 4473s.

Same or better prices at your LGS, with the exception of the members here that sell at the show. R&S, and alxone are the first two off the top of my head.

I get nostalgic for the days before they allowed dealers.

If you are looking for particular gun or guns get an idea of proper price before going. It can be overwhelming and bargains are rare.

Yep,
Stay away unless you like getting rubbed up against by total strangers that don't even have the courtesy say thank you afterwards.
The good thing is, is that alxone's table is no longer next to the bathroom, so you wont need to take earplugs to put in your nose while checking out the cool items at his table.
