Default my son was in a cop car...

...tonight with my brother. He's a Colorado Springs cop. So my brother tells my son it should be a exciting night because it's a Friday, and we had nice weather. Well they got to backup a couple of domestics, and were called to a shots fired call because they were just a little ways away. Couldn't find anything when they got there, but could still smell the powder.

They pulled a couple of people over and the best part of the night was they got to drive the Dodge Charger the city is testing. The biggest crime of the night? Get ready for this.......someone slashed the tire of their Charger while inside at a domestic! Yes someone stabbed the tire with an icepick. They didn't notice until they were driving away and my son heard a wierd sound from the tire. Since they hadn't driven long it couldn't have happened very long ago while in the house. My brother tells my son, if you see someone watching us and laughing and they were the one that did it, I'm going taz the sonofabitch. A new car so he didn't know where the spare was....found it....didn't know where the jack is.....found it and couldn't find the thing to take the nuts off the wheel.....couldn't find it because the car didn't have one. They had to call for a truck to come and change the tire for them.

Next Saturday another son gets to go on a ride along. Wonder how that will go?

edited to add: While dropping him off at the cop shop, my son said... who'd of thought my first ride in a cop car would be in the front. I said kid you need new friends.

Tell him to drive that charger like he stole it. If he gets a chance to get it on the highway and run it at high speeds for a long time. They are junk, alot of departments are getting away from them already.

It's strange how about the only good thing most Dodges have going for them these days are their looks.
The new Chargers look decent, and I've always liked the lines of the Magnum.

Man, I'd hate to be a cop - changing a tire - out in public!

Hmm responded yesterday, but it's not here.

I'll tell him to treat it like a rental car when he has it for a full week later this year. For now they are just passing off from person to person. I'm sure he won't mind driving it hard.
