CCW gunbelts

I need to buy a real CCW belt.

I'm familiar with Wilderness and the other big name boys. My holster is a Sparks VMII. I'm trying to find a solid belt that you would consider inexpensive. Yes, I spent a fair amount on a holster, but a belt + shipping in the neighborhood of $100.00 is obscene to me.

Does anyone know of a good leather belt for half that price? Is that an unreasonable expectation?

I went with Tucker Gun Leather for mine, liked the first one so much I bought a second one in brown for dress use. I wear the black one daily even if not CC for the last 4 years, best belt I have ever owned. Since I am a large man I went with the stiffener addition. Not a cheap belt but true quality never is and I went for the hand carved design as well.

I have a $40 Galco belt that works just fine for me... it's thick (but not too rigid) and it provides pants support and holster support. Good luck.

not recommended if you insist that a highpoint is every bit as nice as an AMT hardballer or a Baer Custom.
I Love my Beltman. Its going on 2 years around my fat self and its still nice enough for dressy occasions

I picked up some Galco dress belts a couple of years ago. They look like normal middle-aged man belts, but give excellent support for the holster and don't fold or flop. A quality, purpose designed belt is as important as a quality holster.

From walmart suprisingly I got a $18 or $25 belt that so far works fine for my belt holster. Many are floppy but browse the rack and they have a few pretty sturdy seeming ones.

I've got a Triple K plain casual belt I picked up at Sportsmans Warehouse for about $40. It's double thickness and very heavy duty. I've worn it for several years.

I just got an Aker velcro belt from my neighboring polce supply store on Friday (closeout at $16, I guess there's not too many skinny cops). Trying it out now. It's not as heavy duty as the Triple K, but the velcro closure makes it a lot more comfortable.
