Part of me hates standards. A big part. However it is a great way to tell if you are getting any better and exactly what you need to work on.
Justin and I am going to change the standards though.
Still 75 seconds. Still no penalty for misses. Still shot on MGM Flash Targets.
200 yards. 5 shots prone. Mono-podding, bi-pods, slings, ect *are* allowed.
175 yards. 5 shots sitting, kneeling or squatting. Mono-podding, bi-pods, slings, ect *are* allowed.
150 yards. 5 shots standing. Unsupported.
Then 5 standing, reload 5 sitting, reload 5 prone at 150. Mono-podding, bi-pods, slings, ect *are* allowed.
I never understood, liked or agreed with Eddies completely unsupported in all positions rule. I nagged him about it and we never saw eye to eye on it.
We are also going to time plus scoring like 99% of al the other matches out there. Each stage will be worth the same amount of points.
All 3 stages will require no more than 30 rounds each keeping ammo costs down and wear and tear on barrels. I like to shoot and can afford to shoot more, but after a while you just keep doing the same thing over and over.
The mid-range stage will have some in your face paper to make sure we remember how to shoot close up at warp speed. A very important part of 3-gunning I think Pueblo rifle has lacked this past couple years.
We might also have bolt gun side matches. Low round count (15-20) and Virginia count steel.
