And they feel the obvious move is to ban sales of ammo more than 1,000rds.
This legislation isn't an attempt to reduce gun violence. They're just using that as an excuse because the emotions from these murders are still high and they need something for people to get worked up about to get crazy bills like this passed. The real reason for bills like this is to slowly chip away at civilians owning ammo in the first place.

That's what they do. They're like knats...they just keep bugging you and bugging you until you swollow their shit. They will keep throwing different bills at the wall until something sticks and it's harder for you and me to buy ammo or guns, even if just by a little.

What the hell, try to regulate 1000 rounds now and then sometime down the road they will go after 500...then 100. Then add a tax to triple the price. Little by little, they try to take it all away...

These anti people have a master plan and they will patiently take one tiny piece at a time until the 2A is gone.

    It's called a Hegelian Crisis.

    It works like so:

    • Manufacture a "crisis" (or amplify a real problem to the level of crisis).
    • Get the people worked up over the faux crisis and demanding that "someone do something about it".
    • Propose a solution that appears as though it will address the crisis but actually pushes another agenda you could never get the people to support.
    • Rinse.
    • Repeat.

    Classic tyranny.
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

Once it starts, then some wise ivy leaguer will declare that possession of x amount of lead or powder or any other component constitutes a crime. It is all about control not saving lives.

What moron are they going to put in charge of determining what kind of weapon the peasants need or don't need? The loss of liberty in this country is astounding.

Remember the election is now only about 100 days out.

In Illinois it is a felony to own a single cartridge without a valid FOID card. In New York you need a valid pistol permit to purchase any ammo which can be loaded into a handgun, even if a rifle will also accept that same ammo. In New Jersey it is a felony to own hollowpoint ammo. It is already a crime for any "prohibited person" to possess any "ammunition component" which would include a shell casing or one of those stupid bullet keyrings they sell at the flea market.

Though NJ's gun laws are horrible, this is incorrect. It is a felony to possess hollow points in the commission of a felony. Same with body armor. You can own it, you can use it legally, but if you're doing crime with it, that's another felony count

Also technically incorrect. Hollow points are generally illegal in NJ, except for specific sections as granted by law.
