Exclamation WTF, a Denver Photo Radar Ticket?!

How funny. Just got one in the mail today. It was the wrong race, wrong motorcycle, and after a closer inspection of the photo, was even the wrong plate number! I called the phone number on the ticket, and they agreed to fix it. Even if they didn't, I was in roll call during the date and time it was taken, so am pretty sure it would have been thrown out in court anyways!

Crawled out from under my rock.

    MY FEEDBACK

You are not required to pay a ticket that isn't served by a peace officer, hickenlooper even admited to this on the mike Rosen show

Yes, however, a buddy of mine who lived in Denver did that (for a Denver ticket) and they just doubled the fine and sent an officer to his house.

Now if you live somewhere other than Denver and get a photo radar ticket... that's a different story.

That's lame you had to deal with the ticket but cool you got it handled. I saw a story a while back on that photo ticket as well where no technically you don't have to pay it but they will add to it and if an officer does serve it to you then you are screwed, but they only have I think 90 days to serve you or it's dropped. My lady had one last year she never paid and they never served her.

One of my employees got one a while back. I sent them a picture of me and it was clearly not the same person in the photo ticket. They sent a letter back saying I had to go to court to prove it. Result: paid the ticket and took it out of my employee's check.

Does this mean your a LEO? How am I the only one who caught this? If that's the case, wouldn't they give you a little leniency either way?
