Hmm, that's the first time I've heard it credited to the NRA. I've heard it was because the US, Russia and China asked for more time, which put it over the deadline.

Yah, I'm not sold on the NRA. Part of it but it is good to get an update on the treaty thing.

The NRA has had articles about it in their publications and newsletters in the mail for over a year. I even signed a petition one of my neighbors was walking around with, and that was last spring. The talk of the UN arms treaty is not new. NRA even got to speak at the UN about it.

Glad it is delayed at least. US has tougher rules for arms export and import anyway.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"

Everyone on this site should be an NRA member. There is no reason not to be. Just for the magazine and gun insurance it provides should be more than enough of a reason to spend the $25-30 a year. What matters is numbers. When the NRA shows up and says 4 million people want it done this way, the words are heard. When you send an email by yourself to Udall or obama, he hits the spam button.

A couple months ago the NRA sent me an issue of American Rifleman full of bullshit partisan politics shit and fear mongering. I called them up and asked them to close out my membership at that point.

I'm sick of the bullshit they spew, and their blatant partisanship.

feel your funds are better off in bronieland?

Just don't read the fear mongering articles...about 5 per magazine and they are the exact same in american rifleman and american hunter and there are some pretty good reviews. I just finished up July issues and the history bit of the ar15 which was excellent. plus who doesn't like to read the armed citizen!
