Default New Piece of Legislation: Regulation of on-line ammo sales...

    Well, here we go.....
Another bill being introduced by "gun-grabbing" morons.

Looks like they want to regulate buying ammo on-line. Think it'll have any legs??? How could it??? Read the full article below...

Hope this one gains no traction and describing it as knee-jerk is charitable at best. I realize folks that aren't as passionate about guns as most of us would consider 6000 rounds to be an enormous stockpile but IMO it is only because they are uneducated in that regard.

When I go out to Pawnee to shoot it isn't unusual to run over 500 rounds just through the handguns and a couple thousand rounds per month isn't hard to go through at all. Then you have those times (like now) when ammunition is hard to find or the price is artificially inflated and you want to stock up to beat the increase or carry you through.

I just have a lot of difficulty supporting legislation to prevent something that is an extremely rare occurrence and really is not indicative of illegal activity until someone does something illegal. Diesel and fertilizer are just diesel and fertilizer until you decide to hurt someone with them. Ten-gazillion on-line ammo purchases one nutcase breaks (existing) laws and this is something that needs to go!

The sales record keeping is just completely out as that is punitive in nature not preventative.

    I love this quote.

“Law-abiding gun owners and shooters should support this legislation because it hinders criminals from abusing the Second Amendment right that our nation promises and could save innocent lives in the process,”

How out of touch is this lady?

There is national buy a gun day. How about a national buy a case of ammo day?

I just saw this on the news about 5 minutes ago. Pissed me off. Stupid people who dont do research on a topic just using a tragic event to further their anti gun agenda. I shoot every weeked usually 300-500 rounds. I do buy in bulk it saves money. Hopefully, this wont pass. Like a previous person said it might seem like a lot of ammo to non shooters but to people who shoot alot 1000 rounds can go pretty quick.

Never let a good crisis go to waste, huh?Funny thing is, even though he had "6,000 round of ammunition", he used probably less than 200 rounds in his murderous assault. So why does it matter how much ammunition he had in his apartment?

This is the same as the statement "More people were killed because he used a 100 round high capacity magazine" because naturally it's the ammo and the magazines killing people, not the jackass pulling the trigger. Some people are so stupid it's a wonder they know how to breathe.

I love the comments on the article about Kim Rhode, and how she shoots 30,000 rounds a month. I've been shooting USPSA, and I know some of the folks around here who shoot every match, every weekend. Figure that they shoot 150 rounds a match, and 6-8 matches a month, plus practice?

Yes, let's make an ineffective law that makes life harder on those who shoot safely as a sport. What a good plan.
