    Default First boat

So its just a 12 footer with 6hp evinrude (that needs a couple seals but ran good). I took my son and nephew out for the maiden voyage today at Wellington #4. Its pretty heavy with wood floor, forward battery compartment, seats, motor and trolling motor with 3 people it rode the waves pretty good when the wind came up. Just fun to get my own boat out. Now i need a bigger one But it was nice to be able to pull right up on the sand in the smaller boat and step in and out of it.

My input (for what it's worth), stick with something simple like a bigger version of what you have there. It gets everything that you need done, without the crap that will end up costing you money on something more complicated (design wise). Honestly I wish I would have gone with a simple 16' V hull river boat than my 18' Bayliner...
