I think she would like a Bichon Frise. I have no idea where to find a reputable breeder. I was hoping there was some sort of website for that kind of thing.



My wife and I really aren't the type of people to get an animal from a shelter. Kind of hard to explain.

I understand. My dog has to be great pet most of the year and a great bird dog the remainder. Only way to do that is to go with a breeder. If you aren't too picky about personality and skills a pound mutt would be just fine.

Do your homework. I will consult local vets when I'm ready to start the journey again. I had to put my old man down this summer.

Fluffy, funny and happy little baby bichon frise puppies. The babies were born in the kitchen and raised in the home. They have been held and talked to and loved from the time they were born. They love to hear music and watch TV with new owners.
Odie the Party Boy has 53 champions in his 5 generation pedigree (this includes Special Times Just Right, JR. Who won Westminister dog show in 2001)
Precious Princess Party Girl loves to dance and watch the Animal Channel. She giggles and is a delight to be around.
We also have 1 male and 1 female from Yoshi's Precious Angel. She has 37 champions in her 5 generation pedigree.
All our bichons fall in the AKC standard for the breed and are on the small side for bichons. They have a nice square body and would make show dogs, pets, or improve your breeding line. We need to know what you want at the time of the sale.

Thank you all for the replies and info. Now I have a better idea about how to maybe go about finding a pup.

I'm not dead set on the Bichon Frise but since it is for my wife the two main requirements are small and cute.

You should look up Sheltie's. That is what my wife got (and got hit by a car...).
