i traded my MCS for a AICS 2.0 and was torquing everything down this afternoon, but my safety lever wont release. I dont want to start inletting it if i dont have to. its a 7005r with a stock trigger. any help would be greatly appreciated.

And it released fine out of the stock?
Magic Marker the stock in the area of question. Slowly work the safety while snugging the rear action screw. Any interference with show up as a shiny spot. Relieve as required.

yeah i never had a problem in the mcs, it fit perfect. i'm inletting it now...almost got it....i just thought these stocks were a direct fit - drop in for any 700 action
They are depending on the trigger. I had to inlet a little for the Timney I put on mine. It's not a big deal, just a little scary. Go slow, and never dremel while angry.

ok i got it opened up, SA its the stock xmark pro trigger so i didn't think it would need to be inletted for that trigger. Hoser its an aw style, i traded with a fellow member and he told me he bought it in 2007...think that might have something to do with it? i bought the rifle new in march, so maybe its a different trigger design?
