I'm sorry to hear- thieves suck... wish there was something I could do.

Just wanted to make sure you know I'm not bagging on your security with my above post, just making suggestions on how to improve/learn from a criminal action...

I hope you the best in recovering your property!

On big commercial photo shoots, we have far more gear than will fit in a single van. And every last piece of gear comes into the hotel rooms at night after what are typically multiple 20 hour days.

    Exclamation

I know everyone would like to help but some are kicking the man while he is down. Being critical of someone for being a victim of a theft is not right. This is similar to being critical of someone for their lack of additional security when their house is burglarized. We will all be victims at some point in our lives and we should not intensify the victims pain by second guessing and throwing guilt at them.

The blame rides on the shoulder of the bandits sneaking and stealing from good people during the dark of the night.

Honestly, I think it would only take a couple shows to learn to identify potential targets. Then you just grab a couple like minded thugs and wait until after dark, back up a longbed pickup and start hurling stuff in from the trailer.

ill give you that as most folks (gun owners or not) come off as an easy mark and being from out of sate as well , it could happen . but im sticking to my guns and still think it was inside or at least a case of gross neglect (witch is worse) .
i leave all kinds of stuff in the car but all ways bring the guns and coins in the house or hotel . leaving firearms in a truck or trailer especially if your out of town is a big no no . letting your guard down with firearms leads to bad guys with guns and good people being hurt . am i saying that i have the best discipline no , but i think you get my point . i do feel for the guy , if it happened to me id be really upset but id also feel as if it were in some way my fault .
remember that scene in full metal jacket about the unlocked footlocker ?
something to the effect that the unlocked footlocker brings thieves

when its all said and done i hope the guy gets his stuff back and the thieves are brought to justice
