2. I closed my business in part because of this bullshit. I was paying over $10,000 a year JUST in registration. trucks, trailers and tractors. as in John Deere. Yeah, that's right, commercial vehcicles used off your property are required to have plates. even if they dont' go on the road. You know all the illegals have those. (not). for about a total of 30,000 miles a year.

and now, they get nothing. zero, nada zilch.
minus my 12 year old cars. (which are still a fucking rip off).

Man that is something else. When I did my new Jeep last year it was like $680 and I actually laughed out loud. I was like, "No ma'am this is a Jeep Wrangler not a semi cab. You must be mistaken." I was beyond unimpressed with that. Unbelievable.

I feel for you. I get my DV plates for free on my 1 ton diesel and my wife drives a 2002 Eclipse that only runs about $60 or so to register.

It matters who you see at the dmv. I know it shouldn't, but I have inadvertantly went to a newbie and was told I needed all sorts of misc papers, tax return etc. This was for an 85 1 ton I haven't had on the road in 6 years, that I register as a farm veh. I left her station and went to a lady I have gone to for the last 10 plus years and she didn't need shit. Price was prob the same just the bs was different.
