Default 870 magazine tube dimple removal

So how do you guys remove the dimples from the magazine tube on your Remington 870 so you can install an extension?

There are a lot of different methods all over the net, and each one says don't do it the way the other guys said to. Drill? File? Special tool? Make some bizarre custom jig out of a C clamp?

Take it to Rob at Bowers, he does great work. Did 2 of my 870's. Give em a call. I'm sure he could quote over the Phone.

I'm a DIY kind of guy if I don't have to buy a bunch of specialized tools for a one-time job. Robb has done a little bit of work for me in the past; I probably will take it over to him if I can't figure it out.

You can use a socket to tap it out but I found it still leaves a bit in to block the round, I just use the dremmel. I have done a few and have had no problems.
