Slide Fire Stock....Illegal?

These are LEGAL - for now. (Each round fired still requires an individual pull of the trigger)

Years ago, there was a similar (yet different) device that was approved by the ATF. This other device was later deemed illegal by ATF & the company was raided, all records of sales confiscated & all in-stock stocks confiscated. The ATF then followed the sales records to the buyers homes & confiscated all of the sold (now illegal) stocks - with no compensation to the owners. All but a handful of these items were recovered.

The lesson here is that if you decide to buy one of these newer devices, purchase it in person & pay cash -- but realize that the ATF could criminalize the use of these at any point.

Like others have said, they are legal at this time. Each slide-fire comes with a copy of a letter from the ATF saying that they are legal. I believe you can read the letter on the slide-fire website as well.

Naw, system times are off. We've got 'balanced servers' and their times aren't sync'd. Some of us are logged into one set of servers, others on the other set... Throws off the alignment of posting.

I've PM'd the server admins to hopefully get it corrected.

Thanks! I'm not buying one, I am going shooting with a couple guys and one of them have these on a couple rifles. I just want to be sure they or myself are not in violation of anything. I was just thinking well I know I can buy a 10.5" AR upper legally but if I slap it on my lower without getting the proper papers then I am in deep, I just didn't know if this was the same.

The package even included an addressed envelope for the part. The buyers were allowed to retain the stock without the part the ATF deemed illegal.

We went and shot the AR15 and Saiga 12 ga with the Slide Fire Stock earlier and those things are pretty sick. The AR shot full auto no s$%^, I was expecting few round burst at a time. Took just a couple of secs to blow through the 30rd mag. The Saiga had issue with gas piston so it didn't work for crap. At least I am guessing that was the issue, we tried adjusting it but couldn't get it right. I'll start a new post when I can get the vids uploaded for anyone who wants to see. We had the 100rd drum for the AR but didn't get to try it out because the guy had that grip on the magwell preventing it from going in all the way and out of all the allen wrenches we had none fit.
