Default Doctors want to target firearms as a social disease

    http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news...45/detail.html

Sundays are supposed to be for unwinding. Facebook as turned to be a pulpit place for politics thus it raised my blood pressure for a bit. Looking at Sigs on Gunbroker and dreaming about owning a particular model and then go to the local news website and seeing the above article. Anyways if never stops, always someone out there that "knows better". I am going to go to the gym for a run, and how much do you want to bet they have MSNBC or CNN on, just brain washing you every where you go about how being conservative, a hunter, a veteran and being a gun owner is so wrong.

Like this mans contribution to the article=

--Disease patterns, observing how a problem spreads. Gun ownership -- a precursor to gun violence -- can spread "much like an infectious disease circulates," said Daniel Webster, a health policy expert and co-director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Policy and Research in Baltimore.

    Happy Sunday!

good lord, thanks for making my blood boil. The comments were the worst part, its hard to accept that this great state has so many painfully stupid people in it.

Cheese and Rice. I couldn't get through the article.

My question is, if all of us gun owners are so freaking crazy, why are their any anti-gunners out there?

Girlscouts? Hmmm, I don't know... I think it's kinda dangerous to teach young girls self esteem and leadership skills.

If guns are bad, then my government should not have them.

If guns are necessary, then I want one.

I have a Constitutional right to own and carry a firearm. The government is Constitutionally restricted from infringing on that right.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I support their right to opine on a public forum, even the forum on the Denver Channel. I support that right even when those same opinions are woefully ignorant of their own Constitution.

    Be safe.

So guns are like a virus. I suggest inoculation. Inoculation is giving a little bit of the virus to everybody. Yeah that's it! Doctors should be required to dispense a gun to everyone.

This article is crap! Nobody wants to take responsibility of keeping guns out of the hands of BG's, it's just easier to take from us.

-"Host" factors: What makes someone more likely to shoot, or someone more likely to be a victim. One recent study found firearm owners were more likely than those with no firearms at home to binge drink or to drink and drive, and other research has tied alcohol and gun violence. That suggests that people with driving under the influence convictions should be barred from buying a gun, Wintemute said.

What does driving under the influence have to do with owning a gun? Idk about anyone else but I like to drink and when I do I don't drive or have my gun on me let alone play with it. I know there are some morons out there but that's just it why not fight the morons and NOT the law abiding legal gun owning citizens?

(Some) Doctors Target Gun Violence As A Social Disease.

I have a friend who is a doc. He is constantly irritated how he is lumped in with people simply because they work at the same profession.

As dumb as saying "auto mechanics demand stricter gun control."

AND......................... how many people die in hospitals vs guns?? Yeah that's a topic the medical profession will not be talking about.
Why not the Catholic church tackle the "hot topic' of gun violence. They are so good at policing their own, i'm in.
