Quick access Handgun Safe?....

I am sure this has been talked about somewhere. I got a 1 yo little girl and I am trying to get my guns around the house safely and comfortably stored. I know I have a few more years til she's big enough to get to the good stuff when she's snooping and I plan on teaching her the best I can about guns and safety when she's old enough. I have my AR in halves with a trigger lock in my rifle gun cabinet. This is not the gun I use just in case. My main carry gun I keep on me during the day, it's at night I still want to have it loaded and quick access to it without the hassle of keys and locks. Anyone have any decent priced handguns safes that are easy access recommendations?(easy access to me and the wife that is.) I've been interested in one I can bolt to the wall ledge above my bed that has the finger button code open but are these reliable?

I have the MicroVault and it has worked flawlessly. I got it when my kid turned 1 too. 4 key code is quick and can be done in the dark. I haven't changed the batteries in the two years I have it (which reminds me, I should change them). But if they die, it has a key opening too.

PS, I like this one because I keep it in a drawer and it opens up. The ones with the front door that open down only work if stored on top of something

Plus one on this setup. I have one like this one wife's side of bed with .38 inside and one of the larger "flip down" style from the same maker in my closet 2 steps away with my 229 inside.

Shotgun on top shelf of closet until daughter is old enough to climb up there, probably is already, and then I'll likely get a shot lock or something similar for that.

Call me crazy. It my ARs are in the safe. If I need them it's going to be more than for when something goes bump in the night.

I have a gunvault w/ the flip down door on the bottom of the nightstand, bolted to it. I literally roll over and can hit the combo in the dark half asleep..

Not sure about the micro w/ the pop up lid, but the ones w/ the flip down lid can be bolted down.

I have no kids.. But I have a puppy. I've had to change my bachelor ways of guns just laying around..

I like this 1 and you can bolt it down so it can't be carried off. Just wondering on the lock out time after so many invalid attempts just to be sure I can still use the key to open it in a what if situation.

You don't necessarily need a gun safe for toddlers. My dad drilled a hole in the side of his nightstand and stuck a long nail in the hole which was painted to match the wood -- that drawer would not open unless you discovered the nail and pulled it out with your fingernails. My uncle used to leave his 1911 in his nightstand with a full magazine and empty chamber -- most toddlers would not be able to rack the slide properly, even if they knew how. I have a S&W 9mm that I can "make safe" simply by popping out the magazine and flipping the safety switch should I ever need to do so. I do not trust those button safes, especially at 0-dark-hundred awakened from a sound sleep with no coffee.

A buddy had one and said it opens in about 1 second but also allows for a keypad code and override key.

I have a GunVault model like Monky described and do not like it. It's too easy for me to push the wrong button during normal waking hours... I can't imagine having to try to get it open after getting woken up from a dead sleep.

I got an inprint safe back in February and have been real happy with it. I think I ordered fromm gunsafe.com. It came with a backup key and power supply (also runs on 9 volt).

With the AC power it opens in a second or less. Once I programmed my fingers, it continues to refine/learn my print. After 6 months, I rarely need to rescan my finger.

I tried the the gun vaults also, but like the biometric with key back up, and the fast opening response time.
