From an ag I know (sort of):

Okay new post on Texags forum from an alleged neighbor, officer was there to give an eviction notice and the dude who got the notice opened fire before shooting everyone he could.

    Newspaper confirms one officer fatality.
I used to be an evictions specialist up in Dallas; I carried every day, and was always a little on key when the constable showed up (it was only ever 1) to forcibly evict someone. Nothing ever went down, but man.

Apparently not too huge, but all the same, thoughts out to those affected.

I also really hate to put on the tin foil hat right now. But the shootings seem to be getting a little worse during a time when gun agendas are at the top of democrat lists, the AWB is being talked about again (and always), the UN will attempt another push for our weapons, and we are coming up on an election very quickly.

I don't want to tin foil hat this because I still have hope that a person wouldn't take many lives with them for someone else's political agenda.

Sorry, but why do they (you, whoever) keep using the word Constable? Isn't it a police officer? What is this England?

My thoughts and prayers to those affected by this... here comes the anti's once more!

This doesn't appear to be a planned act or intentional mass shooting. The guy was apparently going after his landlord and the constables that showed up to evict him.

Standard loser taking it out on the rest of us, but not a mass shooter.

In Dallas (in all of Texas I believe) and Houston, Constables are LEOs assigned to the courthouse that serve (including writs of eviction, which is when you're forcibly expelled from where you're at by the owner of the place) and protect the courthouse and a few other legal-related duties.

Total goddamn bros, too. Laid back, friendly, put you at ease. My first real eviction, when the constable showed up, I let him know I was carrying and had a permit. We talked guns for about 5 minutes and he asked if I wanted to back him up.

So sad to see an eviction gone bad. I've been there and I've seen sad families and tears, fortunately never violence.

Constable is a terminology used still here in the USofA, in TX i believe they are like ordinance officer. I miss the days of them being called flatfoots & dicks, seriously.
Either way another LE gone, another incident with a gun. OR, AUTOMATIC WEAPON as being reported by the tv station there.
ALL you gun owners who think you should be stocking up, max the CC.
