Maybe someone can enlighten me on the subject. I understand that there are specific Olympic rules that disallow the use of specific performance enhancing drugs. But I don't understand why they wouldn't do all of that testing BEFORE the competitors even compete. Why does the testing happen AFTER the competition and awards are distributed then they end up stripping metals from competitors. Maybe they do test them before competing then again after they win and there ends up being a difference in the test results? If that is the case, why not delay the awards until after the post competition test results come back?
