    Default Time to upgrade?

This is mostly for the Glock fanboys. You've been warned, please refrain from trash talking (too much) on my choice in pistol. I currently have a Gen3 Glock 22 that I use as my daily carry gun and if I get on Jeffco I think it will be my duty pistol as well. But my question is, should I get rid of it and get the Gen4? Is it really all the much better? I was even thinking of stepping down to the 17 (9mm) considering my brother who I'll be living with soon has a M&P in 9mm and we could then go halves on bulk 9mm ammo, instead of him getting 9 and me getting .40.
    Thanks!

Oooh touche! Diversity! Okay, so let's remove the get rid of part and now I pose the question: Should I shelf the Gen3 and use the Gen4 as my daily piece?

Sorry, that was stupid of me to even think of! The more the merrier!

Keep it until the dept. you get on with tells you differently. Why spend money on a newer glock when you already have a glock? You're thinking like a beemer driver, focus. New is not always better or a sounder investment.

Exactly. If it works, run it.

Well I know that Jeffco pretty much lets you run anything from 9 to .357, it's all pretty much your choice from what I know. And no, I'm atypical with being a beemer driver, I don't like the look of the '06-'10 3-series.
But thanks. I'll just stick with old trustworthy!

If you want to shoot 9mm just get a barrel conversion.

Is it that simple? I thought that the 9mm and .40S&W mags were different too, thus different mag wells and feeding.

BBl, mags and possibly ejector. During the Ban years we took 40 s&w mags then tweaked the feed lips to allow use of 9mm, giving a higher than 10 round capacity. That was for those not savvy enough to have purchased mags and other item prior to 94.
